The Five Elemental Frames

There are five types of Five Elements Frames, named after the Five Elements, each with a corresponding number:

1. Water 2 Frame - Five Elements attribute is Water, frame number is 2
2. Wood 3 Frame - Five Elements attribute is Wood, frame number is 3
3. Metal 4 Frame - Five Elements attribute is Metal, frame number is 4
4. Earth 5 Frame - Five Elements attribute is Earth, frame number is 5
5. Fire 6 Frame - Five Elements attribute is Fire, frame number is 6

Method for Determining the Five Elements Frame

The Five Elements Frame is determined by the Nayin Five Elements of the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch combination in the Life Palace. The specific steps are:

1. Determine the position of the Life Palace based on the birth year and month
2. Look up the Nayin table using the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch of the Life Palace
3. The Nayin Five Elements is the Five Elements Frame

The Role of the Five Elements Frame

Chart Construction Key: The frame number of the Five Elements Frame directly affects the starting palace of the Zi Wei star. The chart-construction formula is: (day of birth + frame number - 1) ÷ frame number. The resulting quotient determines the position of the Zi Wei star.
